The same applies to the Internet marketing industry even though there are unsavory people out there who’d have you believe it’s a "Walk in the Park" and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

And I’ll have to admit, it is a walk in the park compared to what you have to put up with in the working world punching a clock being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that?

My answer begins with the age-old chicken or egg question, "what comes first the chicken or the egg"? Personally I vote for, well never mind, each argument you or I make comes back to the same old conclusion – I have no clue and I don’t think many of us do either.

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense simply means that you’ve researched and like the company and products or services. It is then that you translate that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany Passion.

I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I’m concerned about those of you who are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.

Because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. Those things are often learned from the company you join – but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won’t attempt to do the work you are being taught.

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won’t stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on,
You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I’ll start that business – does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" does that, don’t be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it’s your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don’t first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

I have about 30 niche websites that have plummeted from the search engines, many were on page 1 on google, now they are nowhere to be seen on google!

The guys and gals at google are now penalizing websites with bookmarking as their main promotion. We are not absolutely sure about this, but it does make sense from google’s corner.

So how do we get around this major slap.

Quality content! This is what it’s always been about, the fast ranking websites are coming to an end. Build authoritative websites with unique and duplicate content that ranks naturally over time, less bookmarking, more diverse back link accumulation.

I’m excited!!! Very excited, it’s going to clean the internet big time.

Think about it, there are companies that have hundreds of people employed and all they do is set up bookmarking accounts for people, then bookmark their websites. Hundreds and thousands of bookmarking links to one website!

I live in the UK and when the economy is booming, we build more and more houses, there simply isn’t enough builders to build, they earn good money in a boom, so every tom dick and harry becomes a builder.

Then bang!!!!! A resession, no building houses going on, but there are still private building jobs, but only the really skilled and experienced builders get the work, the thousands and thousands of ‘jump on the band wagon builders’ fizzle away until the next property boom.

Well this is how I see internet marketing today, this will get rid of all the CRAP!

(Nevermind the civil liberty infringement argument – would you trust the UK govt if they had a ’social networking site’ to resist the temptation to slap every transaction and address down on some national criminal database?? 

I tried one of those online market research survey sites about 4 months ago that say all you have to do is spend a couple of minutes filling out some surveys and you will be making hundreds a day….. YEAH RIGHT, I didn’t make anything.

I joined 7 of these stupid online survey for cash websites and I actually tried filling out a couple of surveys on each site and they took forever then at the end they wanted me to buy things or I couldn’t complete the survey.

These are complete scams so be aware!!! I couldn’t believe they were even allowed to sell such bogus products.

Then about 2 weeks ago I was watching the news and they had some vice presidents and marketing managers of some major multi million dollar companies talking about a site that they personally work with to pay consumers for their opinion, A site that actually just wants the "average Joe’s" honest opinion on products and services and is willing to pay big money to get them.

I tried this site out and it is the only one I have ever seen that actually pays you just to take surveys. I made almost $100 in my first day just filling out 3 simple surveys.

This is the only legit online survey for cash site, online, so if you are interested in making hundreds per day just giving your opinions then make sure you check this out.

P.S. there is a video on this online market research survey homepage that will explain everything. If I were you I would at least check the video out and if you don’t make at least $300 in your first week they have a 3 month refund policy so just get your money back!!! This is definitely worth a look!

How To Make Money Online And Build An Affiliate Website

A registered domain name would give you an address in the virtual world. A web hosting service would give you a lot. It’s time to build your house.

But there are many kinds of houses, with each type serving a particular need. In the same light, there are many kinds of websites, and each type would also serve a particular need. Our goal right now is to determine the kinds of websites you could create to best serve you affiliate marketing concerns.

As an affiliate, here are a number of website models you could decide to employ. Let’s take a look at them.

A Review Center

You could create a website, preferably using a blogging software like that offered by www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com , which seeks to review the products that are released in the market. Here’s the deal, though. Review the products you are promoting. Naturally, you’d want your reviews to be favorable for the affiliate merchant’s offerings. So stress the beneficial points of the products so that your visitors may be encouraged to click on your affiliate link and be redirected to the affiliate merchant’s sales page.

An Affiliate Mall

An effective way of promoting your affiliate links is through an affiliate mall. You could make your website into an online catalogue of sorts. Display the products you are promoting, and attach your affiliate links. Provide a short but encouraging description for each product. Also include a small image of the product itself (as an affiliate, you are allowed to use the affiliate program’s images for your promotional campaigns, so you won’t be violating any copyrights by doing this).

This setup is quite empowering for your visitors. They are given the option to choose which among the products you are pre-selling would be most advantageous for them.

A Content Site

Content is king on the internet. People surf the World Wide Web in search for information. If you have the information they need, then you’re in business. You could focus on unique and quality information for your website, and include your affiliate links by way of recommendation or direct announcement.

There are many kinds of content sites which you could decide to build:

a news site which offers the latest information on the market you will be catering to;
an information hub containing guides and general information about the same market;
a download center for valuable products you’re freely offering (this is great for a viral marketing campaign, which we will discuss in subsequent lessons)

An Opt-In Page

You will not be able to win all of them. You won’t even be able to win a majority of them. The best thing you could aim for is to gather the ‘yes’ visitors, try your best to change the mind of the ‘no’ visitors, and capture the contact information of the ‘maybe’ visitors so that you could continue to convince them for a future sale. And this you could do with a mailing list.

By having them subscribe to your mailing list, you’d be able to contact them at any time, with new offers, or perhaps with some valuable tidbits that would warm them up to purchase what the affiliate merchant is selling. All you need is an account with an excellent autoresponder service, which you could integrate in such a page so that it will capture prospective leads on auto-pilot.

You could employ this strategy on any of the website models we have mentioned above, or you could make a web page specifically designed to capture the aforementioned contact details.
